Bad refrigerator/worse customer service

We bought this refrigerator 2 years ago and the compressor went out filed a warranty claim and it has been 6 weeks with no refund or any communication. When I call customer service they say refund has been approved and will take 6 to 8 weeks to process. That is too long to be without a refrigerator.

I bought this fridge bottom freezer three years ago. Worked great. Until it didnt. Apparently it was a faulty Compressor. Called LG because I didnt have the receipt from Home Depot. You actually need it to find warranty information from them. Anywho I called LG and the repair process was crazy easy and quick I must say it was nice to find a company that supported its products. I cant fault LG for a fluke compressor. But I do have a gripe the repair did take over a week to complete almost two And when the guy finished he scratched my fridge down to the metal in 5 spots on the door. Would have given four if he didnt scratch my door.

I bought this refrigerator about a year ago and could not be happier with it. I have the black stainless which just gives it a richer look and doesnt show fingerprints. The inside is nice and roomy and even when it seems its full there is still room for more. The freezer is plenty big and easy to access everything I have in there. It works very well and looks so very stylish. So far I love all the LG appliances that I have purchased. No problems

My LG refrigerator functioned very well for the first 18 months I owned it. Then it stopped cooling. I had paid for an extended warranty. When I called for service first they asked me to try to fix it myself which I did. That reset didnt work. I requested home repair service on April 30. Today is May 20 and I still have not received a service call. THREE WEEKS WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR.

I love the refrigerator but the fact that Lg knew it had inferior parts such as the compressor having known defects and then to do a warranty call and having to pay over 600 dollars to have it replaced was ridiculous. If the part was known to be bad the call should have been free. I was told over the phone that it could cost up to that amount but could be less as I only had to pay for labor.. The compressor was the issue and the technician was only here for 1 hour and 15 minutes so there is no way I should have been charged that amount.very dis satisfied with LG. Will be reporting it to the Better Business Bureau.

I have had this fridge about two weeks now. I needed a smaller fridge to fit in opening in my kitchen. This is working out perfectly. The freezer on the bottom with drawers is extremely ergonomic. The fridge itself has ample storage and very large drawer at the bottom.

We enjoy the updated appliance and the more space. The drawers for the produce took some getting used to the pull is at the bottom of the drawer not the top. The ice maker is quick to refill. The meat tray/deli tray is very generous in size and easy to keep clean. We like the way it keeps raw meat away from the other items in the refrigerator. Because of our room configuration the single door that could be changed to swing from the left or the right was a must.

Compressor failed

2 years old compressor died. Lost all food of course and had no fridge for almost 2 weeks but what was frustrating is the lack of communication with LG and especially with their chosen warranty repair company. Note: They DID fix it thanks but it was a 2 week process and incredibly limited communication. It took repeated shaming on social media to get LG to respond to me the repair company out of Knoxville barely communicated with me. NOT a good experience and would think twice about purchasing an LG in the future.

I got my new refrigerator in February 2023. I love the space in both the freezer area and the refrigerator areas. I picked LG because I have had my LG front load washer and dryer for 14 years now and have been completely happy with it. I replaced all 4 of my kitchen appliances with LG. We are long time LG customers who have several LG appliancespresently and have had no trouble with them However we bought an LG refrigeratorin 2021. After about 6 months we noticed that our milk was going bad BEFORE its sell by date. We had to keep our milk other dairy products in anotherrefrigerator to keep them cold enough. Then about 2 months ago when the refrigeratorwas about 27 months old the refrigeratorfailed. Prior to that we started having temperaturechanges making the refrigeratorAND freezer unsafe for keeping food in the proper ranges. We have had service technicians out here 4 times. A compressor was replaced the first time and it didnt work at all. The tech came back- rechecked recharged and cleared the system went through a whole series of checks on the machine. Then it worked things were somewhat in range but not safe enough. It never went down to the ranges set either in the freezer or refrigerator sometimesas highas in the 40s 50s and would not return to somewhat passable ranges for a very long time after opening the door to get something out during meal prep. It is totally undependable forregular main kitchen use. We had a tech come out two more times a total of FOUR and nothing was resolved. We cannot trust a refrigerator with hundreds of dollars worth of holiday food in such an unreliable appliance. We have called LG ourselves after very LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG waits on the phone have not received anything close to a resolution. Great fridge...for 2 years Compressor went out after 2 years 5 months What a joke. Was without a fridge for almost 2 weeks while we waited for a new compressor and installation Will never buy an LG fridge again.

Purchased in 2021 already have an issue. Bought extended warranty but no one in my area available for repairs. Finally heard from someone at LG and got an appointment for repairs. However it is 3 weeks since my original call for repairs. Had my old refrigerator for over 16 years and never needed a call for repairs no it wasnt an LG. Shouldnt offer extended warranty if you cannot fulfill your obligations

Stopped working and still waiting for resolution

Well up until three weeks ago I would have given this product a 4 star. Only missing a 5 because it lacks flexibility of multiple shelf adjustments and door storage. Then the compressor stopped working and was told by LG it was no longer under warranty. Although the unit warranty was expired it also came with a 5year compressor warranty. I had to email the president to get any kind of acknowledgement of that warranty. However three weeks and counting Im still without a refrigerator and the presidential liason is searching for a certified tech that can work on an LG. With no end in site I would have hoped LG would have stood behind their products better.

Weand over the have had the refrigerator 3 months now we have trouble with the ice maker. It spills water into the freezer . It drips into the ice cube tray and over the side. After a horrible experience with LG trying to get a service person finally got one here. He replaced the the icemaker. Now we barely get any ice. He turned the water valve down to reduce the flow. How does LG design an icemaker that cant handle normal city water pressure? One other annoying thing is the door alarms. If the machine decides either door is open too long like when putting away groceries the alarm goes off.

Very Nice Functional Refrigerator

The only real downside of this refrigerator is the ice maker which produces ice very slow. I have the freezer set at -4 degrees in an attempt to speed up ice production but it still takes 3-4 days to fill up the ice bin. Outside of that issue the fridge is spacious and well lit.

Our family has used a Refrigerator forever that was on the bottom. No longer do I have back aches when coming home from the grocery store and placing items in the frig. Everything can be seen right in front of us now. Love the feature also that will ding if the door is not shut properly.

We bought this a month ago and are impressed with the quality and performance. The finish is a nice compliment to our kitchen. I like that the shelves are one pieced and the meat and chees drawer at the bottom is roomy and keeps from loosing space in the middle of the fridge like the previous one had. LG has good reviews and was recommended by our local appliance store that has been in business for as long as I can remember so I trust their recommendations.

I purchased this refrigerator June 6 2023 it not even a year old yet and I have experienced problems with it running too loudly. A brand-new refrigerator should not be this loud The repairman has been out twice and cannot find the problem even replaced a part but a couple of days later the problem is still here. Its been like this for about 2 or 3 months so much so until guest visiting my home has made comments about it. I know that an appliance this new should not be humming like this. It has gotten to the point where I dont enjoy being in my kitchen anymore because I just cannot get use to this humming noise. I feel that there is definitely a defect somewhere in this particular product. I bought the wrong brand and am very disappointed with this purchase to say the least.
