Purchased 05/19/2025. A little after the warranty expired, the refrigerator started sounding this annoying alarm that cannot be silenced. I contacted Whirlpool and they said there was nothing they could do. Don't buy this refrigerator. I understand things break, but when they do, stand behind it. Don't offer to give me 15-20% off a new one - offer to make it right.

The refrigerator is beautiful and effectively designed. The in-door shelves allow quick access to condiments and other items frequently used. I LOVE the pizza compartment in the freezer. The freezer is deep and divided into sections that work with how I use it (meats and seafood in the upper-right compartment, frozen treats in the upper-left compartment, veggies, lunches, etc. down below). It is easy to clean the surface, and it is fingerprint-resistant. Importantly, the water and air filters are easy to access and replace.

I purchased the refrigerator in March of 2022. Since then I've had service people over over 12 times in the past 2 years to replace or repair my ice maker, my compressor, my relay switch, and a couple other things including a door. The refrigerator has been a complete failure for me. It would have cost me thousands of dollars if I didn't have the warranty program on it. The refrigerator is not worth what I paid for it

Fair warning, compressor goes out in exactly 5 1/2 years...6 months past warranty and at a cost of $1200 to repair. When we called the customer service person told us that was normal for compressors. I do not agree but if thats the case NEVER buy a whirlpool.

Disappointing Refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator from Lowe's in May of 2023. We were very pleased with the features, size, looks, etc. Fast forward to December of 2024. First service call after a failed evaporator fan. Lost a fair amount of food at that time. I am a career electrician and had a pretty good idea of the problem before I called a local appliance repair tech out. He was able to obtain the parts and get us back in business. As an electrician, I understand parts fail and chalked it up to just one of those things. Now, in April of 2026, the freezer and refrigerator temperatures started fluctuating. I did the standard kill power for a few minutes to reset the controls. It seemed to work for about a week. Then, temperatures went up in both compartments. I had the same tech work on it again and he determined that the compressor was failing. I am done and extremely disappointed. I have a 20+ year old refrigerator for back up that has never failed us. Once again, it is holding the items we salvaged out of this unit. We have paid enough for repairs and do not plan to spend more on it. We have already purchased a new refrigerator and will dump this one. We absolutely do not recommend this refrigerator.

I bought this refrigerator due to having a double ice maker in the freezer. I have had 5 different service calls to fix this ice maker in less than 2 years. Most of the time it wasn't working at all. But didn't have time sit around and wait for repair guy to show up. 3 of this call have been in the last month. Well, the repair guys that Lowe sent to fixed. Replace the ice maker part but he said it was not getting water the ice maker. Then left had to make a new call to Lowe's service to arrange the guy back out. Came hour late and said he need to order parts again... Next appointment a week there had call them to find out about the part and when to service again. They assured they be here today from 8am-12 pm.... Well, no show! I called them they need to still pick the parts and would not be here today. After I waited all morning for them. Still not fixed. So, if you're buying this for double ice maker. It has too many problems. Easier to go to store and buy a bag of ice.....

This refrigerator did not work out for me. This is my first 3 door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. This is what I found out after purchasing; The left door (facing it) will not shut on its own, it must be pushed all the way. All other refrigerator doors shut for me of you give a gentle push. If you open both doors the one on the right slams, if you close before the one on the left. The drawer bins require you to open both doors. The refrigerator doesn't have any features like dispensing measured water amounts. It's keeping my food cold and frozen but that's about the only good thing I can say about this particular model.

This fridge does not hold up, seals crumble/rip fast, ice maker went out within a year. Had to replace lights within a year and keep going out , drawers break fast also. Trying to get someone on the phone or chat is nearly impossible to discuss my concerns. Also have had issues with the matching gas stove and dishwasher. Such a shame whirlpool use to be great.

I paid $2,927.81 on 4/21/21 and the repair man just left thinking that it is a condensor or compressor problem that could cost $1500.00 to repair. These items are covered for 5 years under warranty, but Whirlpool wants me to pay them for another service charge and they have not returned my phone call to schedule it. This refrigerator knocks many times throughout the day and night like someone is knocking on your door very loudly. It is unacceptable!

This is the second one of this model we™€™ve purchased. We bought the first a few years ago and liked it so much we bought the same model for our vacation home. Our favorite feature is the dual icemakers. There is always plenty of ice in the door for the dispenser, cubes or crushed, and the freezer has a large compartment of cubes to accommodate times when you need more for the cooler, or whatever you may need it for. The finish is a beautiful brushed stainless color and it™€™s easy to keep clean. The layout works nicely with plenty of room and it™€™s easy to keep the food organized. Food in fridge stays fresh for a long time and ice cream stays the perfect hardness. We™€™ve had the first one for almost 5 years and it™€™s still running perfectly.

I've had this for 5 years now and have been/am very pleased. It's designed so that it easily stores a lot of items with lots of options, given it's many drawers and shelves. That means I can quickly get to any particular item without having to take anything out first. The freezer on the bottom has worked really well. It's divided into 3 sections--a skinny middle with two bigger bins around the middle. Again, the large bins on each side are roomy enough for big items while the little items don't get lost since they have their own bin. Overall, the mix of sizes in bins and drawers has been really planned well. I also really like that the ice bin releases directly into a glass and you can directly dispense water into the glass at the same portal. Also, the ice bin is is easily removable so I can quickly take it out to fill multiple glasses or feed the ice into a ziplock to use in a cooler. And the fridge shelves are soo easy to customize to exactly the height you want, made even more customizable because there are 4 adjustable pieces. I have them split so that one shelf is "split" so that tall items, like milk cartons, get the height they need, but the other three hold smaller height things. I really don't have to move things around to get to whatever I want in any part of this fridge. Yeah!

Noisy problematic unit.

This unit has been problematic since it was purchased. Had to replace the water valve and icemaker level control. Off and a on it makes a popping sound like a popcorn popper. You would not fix under warranty saying it was a normal sound. I will never buy another Whirlpool product.

Light issue

I reported led inside lights out ..the rep was going to send a repair person..as this part is on warranty..never heard a thing..changed all lights. But freezer light would not work..very hard to get to. ..we just hard wired the freezer wire which made rest of lights work. But no light in freezer. We live in challis,Idaho no repairmen will come up here. Very disappointed.

I love this refrigerator in so many ways. This is the 5th refrigerator we have owned in our 45 years of marriage. Compared to what we began with in 1989, this is a Rolls Royce. However, with the features come glitches and bugs in electronics. We have had 2 occasions where we almost called a repair company, but were able to luck out with internet info and our own trials. If you have a newer Whirlpool refrigerator, dirty door seals can cause your electronics to alert (all lights blinking in unison, fridge not cooling). After a day of trial and error, I wiped down the door seals and the surfaces they come in contact with when the doors are shut. Just water and a paper towel. Bingo. Who knew?

Sensor replacements, reoccurring frost build up on vents preventing refrigerator to cool. Door misalignments, drawers falling of its rails. A real lemon unfortunately.

Nice size refrigerator

I have been extremely disappointed in the fridge because it continues to pop. The noise is not occasionally but almost continuesously. I have sent an email to Whirlpool concerning this issue. My daughter owns the same fridge and she does not have this problem.

We have been very pleased with our refrigerator so far. The only thing we were disappointed with was the water filter did not come with the refrigerator and we had to go to Lowes and purchase the filter for $60. We thought with what we paid for the refrigerator the filter would have been included.

Noisey

Makes a lot of weird noises at any given time. Lasts sometimes up to a minute sometimes less. My hearing isn't good enough to tell where the different noises are coming from.

Refrigerator has functioned well. Ice makers are great. The refrigerator can be noisy at times making a pulsating helicopter noise. Not sure what caused that

Great fridge

I™€™ve only had my new refrigerator a week today, but so far I love it. I love that I can set temperatures in both of the bins for the vegetables/fruits. It took me a while to find out how to turn off the icemaker. I don™€™t use ice very often. I couldn™€™t figure out why there was an ice in the door but I was getting ice in the freezer as well. I needed more room in the freezer and didn™€™t need the ice down there at all. I received an email and one of the features was explaining where to store various items. Unfortunately, the pictures never came up. I hope they can resolve that issue.

I™€™ve had it installed for about a month and it works just fine. I enjoy having the two icemakers. Only time will tell of course but so far it™€™s been a great refrigerator.B
