I love theGE Profile™ 27" Smart Built-In Convection Double Wall Oven. It reaches the desired temperature in no time as the preheat is very fast and cooks evenly. I use the keep warm feature a lot. I used to have a warming drawer but with the warm mode In was able to have my double oven. The best thing is the airfryer mode. The slide out racks are wonderful. The control panel is great. The connectivity is easy to use and very handy. Both ovens are quite large and accommodate multi rack baking easily.

The oven makes a lot of noise when it is preheating, during convection and air fry. I am guessing that it's the fan or fan motor. It seems much louder than it should be. Our previous oven was super quiet compared to this one.

The door keeps falling apart

The door to the oven that is less than a year old keeps falling apart. A Bodewell service person that came to look at it found that the glass is attached to the door with ordinary tape. He indicated this was a manufacturing issue. I would not buy this again. Why would GE use tape to attach glass to the door of an oven? Moreover, the service person found out that the tape was just used at the corners. His solution was to slap regular silicone, (instead of high-temperature silicone) around the perimeter where the glass attaches to the door, instead of properly removing the tape, cleaning the components and reattaching the glass to the door with high-temperature silicone.

Device stopped working after 8 days. Most expensive piece of garbage ever purchased. Happened in the middle of my hosting 20 guests for a holiday dinner. My guests an and I all just marveled at how a brand new appliance could be such a lemon. To add insult to injury, I was told by the GE service people that this is a common defect and instead of giving me a new oven I have to wait for a replacement part which is on back order. I guess when you consistently roll out defective units there will be a back order on replacement parts.

Faulty LCD display panel

My brand new GE Appliance was installed in my brand new kitchen and it does not work. The LCD display is not responding to my touch. Therefore I cannot even turn it on. I have had it installed for 2 weeks now, and I still can't use it. Kinda discouraging. A repair man has been out but the part was not available. Is has been ordered, but nothing yet.

It has a lot of features. However, the fan didn't shut off when I first used the oven to remove the oils as recommended by the installer and the manual. I don't know if that is glitch or bad board. the timer when done is difficult to hear despite being on loudest setting. Not sure the shelves are great as they take up A LOT of room with the slides and are not the easiest to remove. Will add comments later as I use this more.

Beautiful, but unreliable 'smart' wall oven

I have been a GE loyalist, but this is the worse oven I have ever owned. It you purchase it you definitely need a to buy the service agreement -- I did not. The smart feature fails...it loses connectivity, the screen freezes so you can't turn it off (or on). Rebooting from circuit breaker is the only way to regain control. It is a beautiful, clean panel and looks good in my kitchen. You can adjust the screen to display outdoor temp, to sleep when not in use and can get temps and do precision cooking. That's not enough for me because it is unreliable! Getting through to customer service via phone is a ridiculous dance through a poorly set up auto answering triage system. Once you get through to a person, they seem interested in helping if you have a service contract otherwise you go down a more tedious track eventually leading to an associated but independent repair agent. Opting for submitted via the link maybe faster. The GE company terms reserve the right to make changes so read them before you write a review

Touchscreen failure out of the box

i™™ve had this double oven installed and powered up for six hours. The installer showed me that he could start both ovens, then declared victory and left. little did i know i needed to crawl through all the features. The touchscreen is beautiful but does not work! Anything on the right edge of the touchscreen does not work. The settings gear, does not respond. The timer icon in the right corner, does not respond. when i was trying to register the product through the wifi/screen, the entry keypad had the same problem. The backspace/delete would not work. The zero key and others down the right side don™™t work. i thought maybe the phone app SmartHQ would give access to settings and timer. No, not even mentioned on the app. what am i missing? the lights work, the oven heats, the wifi connect works. but the touchscreen does not work for the far right side of the screen.

Definitely a step down from our old GE profile oven. Takes forever to preheat and doesn™™t cook evenly. Materials are cheap and unit arrived with damage to the flimsy exterior panels. I probably should have read the specs closer, instead of listening to the sales person. Only the upper oven is convection, and the fan only runs when the heating elements are on. That is a bit of a disappointment. The racks on rollers are a really tight fit; the sides of the oven were scratched when installing and cannot be easily moved. But, it fits the space in my 1950™™s built-ins. The temperature in the upper over seems to be regulated fairly well. I didn™™t try the lower oven.

So far, so good! I recently purchased through Costco so I can™™t speak to longevity. But everything leading up to delivery/installation was exceptional. I love the functionality of the bottom racks in both ovens. The rack slides out for easy access without having to actually remove the rack. The oven display is great. You can customize it to your liking but I think the best part of the oven is that you can connect it to the GE app. You can turn both ovens on or off through the app. The app will notify you when it™™s done preheating and when the timer goes off.

Some tend to scrape the sides when sliding in and out of the oven. IMO they shouldn™™t be like this. Overall we like this oven very much. Rack removal damages the interior of the oven

This oven is terrible you can not remove the oven rack. The installer scratched the interior when inserting the rack. The racks are too wide once inserted you can not remove the rack without scratching the interior. In fact they are so tight you can not insert the rack in the bottom position. When contacting GE they send out new racks infact they sent 5 and all have the same issue...They are too wide .... you would think a company as large as GE would address this issue properly! This not a cheap oven ...GE should remake the racks slightly smaller but they ignore the issue ...I have their dishwasher and fridge and they are fine , The oven is a nightmare,
